We are half way into January and I feel to reflect on the New Years Resolutions I made for myself only a few short weeks ago. I know that to keep those resolutions I have to start off strong and build some good momentum. The next few posts will expand upon each of the resolutions in a little more detail.
The one I'd like to highlight at this point is resolution number 5, Build and maintain my own websites and announce that along with this blog and my web development business site, I now have a couple of review websites online.
These sites are not completely mine, in fact the ownership belongs to a talented video producer I know. He will be in charge of the site content, while I build, maintain and continually work to improve the websites. But I'll be working on these sites, as if they were my own and promoting them aggressively. These are my babies at the moment.

The first site is called AutoSpot Video and is a car site dedicated primarily to short format automotive review videos. I'm blown away by the catalog of quality video content on this site. While there are many great automotive review sites on the internet, I don't believe there are any quite like this that can rival it's vast selection of quality videos.

The second site, PowerSportTV is similar to the first but focused on powersports such as ATV's, dirt bikes and the like. I'm very excited to be working on websites that are actually aligned to my own interests. While I don't have a lot of experience with powersports per se, I'm a huge fan of going fast in any machine I can get my hands on.
Those are the sites that are already launched. I'm currently working on a couple other completely different websites that I'll hopefully get to launch in the next month, provided I can find the time between client work.
MoneyMotives.net will be a blog and community site about family finances and progressing from merely surviving to thriving. At first glance the domain, MoneyMotives, may lead you to believe the site is all about being motivated by money, on the contrary it's about examining the greatest motive to make money, caring for our loved ones. Too many people, myself included, use our families as excuses not to pursue success to our own, and even their, detriment. Your family wants you to succeed. And the drive to provide for them, lead them by example and make them proud is the ultimate fuel for your passion. Your kids should be your reason, not your excuse. I intend to write about my own struggles and triumphs as an entrepreneurial dad, and interview many other parents like myself.
Lastly (for now at least) is a blog about excellence. I haven't yet found a suitable domain name, but the plans are all in place. I think about this blog all the time and can't wait to share it with the world. It's a site that showcases video and audio interviews of people who exemplify excellence. That's all I'll say about that for now but expect to hear a lot more about this one in the very near future.
I'm really happy about the momentum already building so early in the year. I'm optimistic that 2010 will be a great year, I just know it!
